The manager was helpful and accommodating, allowing us to store our bags for a whole day and giving us a ride to the Amtrak station. the location was also convenient for Amtrak passengers looking to explore San Francisco.

The hotel is right off the freeway, with a view of a trash-filled off-ramp from the room window. the linens on the bed were dirty and worn, and the toiletries in the bathroom were all half-used.

Everything at this good budget hotel was nice as we expected. Everything met expectations, had a pleasant stay on road trip. Attentive and helpful staff, as it had to be.

The hotel looks newly decorated and well-maintained. The staff was attentive and accommodating. The location was favorable, approximately 10-15 minutes' walk from the Oakland Museum of California. I really enjoyed my stay.

It was clean and our accommodation was at ground level.

The noise of the freeway and fairly seedy surroudings. No continental breakfast and no restaurant close by.

Room was well maintained and clean, bed was comfortable, shower and plumbing generally worked very well. Air conditioning worked well. It is a very short walk from the BART Lake Merritt station, and also has free parking. It is a no frills high value property with very reasonable rates. The staff was pleasant and responsive.

The motel is right next to the freeway, so there is unavoidable traffic noise. The "free internet" did not work at all during my two day stay, and I was repeatedly told it would be fixed. When I departed it was still not working.

Great place! The room with 2 beds was just what we needed. The location was awesome, really close to the Oakland Museum of California. 🌟

I had a great value for my money at this hotel. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities like a microwave and fridge. The location was convenient, close to the Lake Merritt Bart station, and I felt safe during my stay. The staff was friendly and waived the cash deposit for me.

Civic Centre Lodge is excellent value for money motel considering its close proximity to San Francisco (12 mins by bart) The rooms are clean, ensuite with very confortable beds. Its a standard motel but at a reduced rate given the area. The staff stored our bags upon check-out so we could pick them up later in the day. No problems with staff/motel facilities and would stay there again when next in the bay area. BART station is a 4 minute walk away.

Location only. Oakland is a bit sketchy but if you use a bit of common sense you shouldn't have any issues.
